What do Vermont Turkeys and Cavendish Fruitcake have in common? Besides being delicious? We’ve all heard about local food and slow food and good food as qualifiers for appealing meals. We took that literally and bought our turkey, hand raised by our friend Joe MacDonald in Mt. Holly, Vermont. He let his birds grow a wee bit longer than last year so we got a Huge and Hugely Delicious Bird. It was moist and full of flavor that only a healthy bird can provide. Our fruitcakes also take a long time to develop flavor as they soak up the brandy and we use only unsulphured fruits and nuts and of course, Vermont Honey to sweeten. Hand made just for you to grace your table and please your guests. Remember: Fruitcake; you don’t have to be one to eat one.
